BES?

I believe it would depend on how the BB Users are accessing their Mail-files - e.g. POP3/IMAP/BES Server. I don't believe there's a quick way to determine whether a POP3/IMAP session was initiated by an actual BB Device.
Assuming a BES Server is involved, a bit of Googling shows the way to see the # of Users is sensitive to version:
